The number of attached cells on the samples was estimated by subtraction the number of unattached cells from initial number of cells in the inoculum. The cellseeded samples were incubated in each 5 ml of DMEM medium at 37°C in a humidified 5% CO2 incubator. Fresh medium was provided every 1–3 days depending on the incubation period. The number of proliferated cells was counted after 5–6 days of incubation. Prior to cell counting, sample was washed 3 times with PBS buffer to remove unattached cells and FBS from the medium.

Therefore the method for determination of porosity in biomaterials should I: II: III: IV: 42 Biopolymers Based Micro- and Nano-Materials ideally be performed in wet state. Therefore a method to determine porosity of biomaterials of water absorbed biomaterials was developed in my research [53]. In this analysis dried biomaterials was soaked overnight in water. Three pieces of tissue paper were dried overnight in an oven at 55°C and then the weight of tissue papers (W1) was measured. The water absorbed biomaterials was taken from the water medium and the diameter and thickness of the biomaterials were measured and the volume of the water absorbed materials, V1 = (πr2h) then calculated.
