He is the author of “The Oligopoly of Academic Publishers in the Digital Era,” among many other publications.

Vincent Larivière is professor of information science at the Université de Montréal, where he holds the Canada Research Chair on the Transformations of Scholarly Communication. Vincent holds a bachelor’s in Science, Technology and Society, a master’s in history of science and a Ph.D. in information science, for which he received the Eugene Garfield Dissertation Scholarship award.
